As women who live in Centre County, we share many common concerns and values. We have a caring person in Harrisburg who hears our concerns and advances our values. Scott Conklin is running for re-election as our State Representative. Scott will continue be a leader in women’s health care reform. He supports the Universal Access to Mammogram Act and expanding eligibility for programs that offer free mammograms and breast cancer screenings, so that no woman will be denied access because of a lack of insurance. He will also fight to increase state investment in programs that offer free cervical cancer screenings.
Scott is working to provide tax credits to businesses that offer extended family medical leave. He believes that hardworking Pennsylvanians have the right to take time off to care for a new child or a sick loved one.
Scott has fought for real, significant investment in Pennsylvania’s education system. He won state funding for pre-school education for our children. He believes that an investment in our children today is an investment in the future of Pennsylvania.
Conklin shares our Centre County values and having a family of his own, he understands the importance of protecting our quality of life. That means investing in more police officers to keep our crime low, cutting property taxes so our neighborhoods remain viable, and ensuring the protection of farmland and open space to prevent rampant overdevelopment.
Scott Conklin is our Representative, and as women we can put him in a position to advance our values. We are a diverse group of women and together we encourage you to help us send Scott back to Harrisburg.
